#365: See Les Misérables

Before I say what I’m about to say, can we pause for a moment to recognize that the first time I’d ever heard of this musical was when Joey Potter sang a song from it on Dawson’s Creek, while I was supposed to be doing my math homework?

Anyway.

#364: Get Netflix

In no way should it shock you that I didn’t have Netflix yet.  I just got an iPhone 2 months ago.  I just got a Kindle 5 days ago.  I’m not exactly one for jumping on the latest technology.

And also–I’m cheap.  Technically, I’m thrifty, but obviously that’s just a nicer way of saying I’m cheap.

A couple of years ago, I saw an ambulance next to a bike on the ground.  There was also a person, but I didn’t want to look closely.  It couldn’t be good.  Luckily, I hadn’t seen the accident so I had only that haunting image of a body on the ground and not someone being thrown from his bike.

Yesterday, I witnessed the first part of that situation. Read the rest of this entry »

#360: Dance on command

I don’t dance.  This is both to save myself from looking awkward and to save you from feeling uncomfortable for having to look at me.

#359: Hold a rooster

You basically have 2 choices when someone randomly comes up to you and asks, “Were you the one who wanted to hold the rooster?”

You can either:

  1. Say no and back away quickly.
  2. Say, “No, but if you want me to, I can.”
