#500: Carol Bove’s Caterpillar

Secret New York things are the best.  Not that anything really is secret in New York, as evidenced by the sold out till September free tickets to this art exhibit on the last unopened section of the High Line.

But at least above the city on a small tour of the sculptures (about which the tour guides themselves knew very little), you could pretend you were seeing something secret and therefore special.  Things can be special without being secret, I understand, but I can’t help but appreciate, in a city of so many people always crowding around the same things, the paths slightly less discovered.
