#585: Learn the word licit

I know lots of things about the English language.  For example, I know that the prefix, “il” means “not.”

Yet somehow, when hearing about illicit things over the years, I never made the connection that there must also be the word, licit.  No one uses it!

But of course, just because you don’t know about something, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

And vice versa, I suppose.
