As you may have guessed, this involved adult versions of typical kids’ field day activities, such as 3-legged races, wheelbarrow races, and sack races.
As you may not have guessed, each of these races also involved bananas, because it was a field day for charity to raise money for cancer research, and for some reason–no one knows what–the event is affiliated with bananas.
We think it must be a UK thing, since our company is based in the UK. We don’t think that’s a good enough excuse for why the T-shirts say “Beat the banana” on them.
Anyway, the point is, because I think I am somehow suddenly this athletic wonder ever since I’ve started running, even though my overall athletic ability remains hovering around negligible, I signed up. The other point is, my arms really hurt today because I was forced to do a wheelbarrow race with someone 8 inches shorter.
