#676: Go to Lovecraft

21 Aug

Scary: In a city of more than 8 million people, you run into the on-again-off-again ex-girlfriend of the roommate of the last person you dated in a neighborhood nowhere near yours.

Scarier: While this is happening, on the same block, the friend you just left runs into a girl he visits in the middle of the night when they’re both lonely, who lives nowhere near that neighborhood.

I’ve never read anything by H.P. Lovecraft, but I doubt his stories are much freakier.  It was his birthday yesterday, so the bar was giving away free copies of Weird Tales Magazine.  I haven’t read it yet, so I can’t be sure, but I imagine the stories in it aren’t much stranger than real life is.
