#869: New York Historical Society

20 Feb

Just when you think you’ve nearly exhausted all of the pay-what-you-wish options in the city, you come across another one.

So, even though you don’t have a particular interest in superheroes, you go to see the Superheroes in Gotham exhibit. And you find, among other old New York stuff that’s sort of neat, the typewriter the creator of Superman used to write on while taking the train from Cleveland to New York.

Which is pretty cool. And even though you weren’t allowed to take a picture of it, you admit that you, someone who knows very little about comic books, are impressed.

The bond of writers and all that–plus, I grew up near Cleveland, and Ohio pride runs deep.
