#651: See the Metropolitan Opera outside

Despite what it may seem, I’m not a giant opera fan.  However, I am a fan of arriving to a free event at Socrates Sculpture Park really late and just sitting down on the ground and eating dinner while listening to talented people sing in foreign languages.  And not having to worry about climbing over people since this is Queens and people are hesitant to go to Queens, which works out great if you live in Queens. #583: Tandem

You know how often I go to Bushwick.  And yet, when I was there for LoftOpera this weekend, the person I went with happened to know the guy we happened to sit next to.  We were all introduced, I left early to go home and eat 10 peeps in one sitting (before you ask, yes, it was as awesome as it sounds), and that was that.

The next day, I returned to Bushwick and went to Tandem.  As I looked around for the group I was meeting, a guy waved at me.  It was the same guy from the night before.

#461: LoftOpera

I’ve done a lot of cool things in New York.  Last night’s LoftOpera would immediately get a place in the top 7, if I actually kept a list.
